What is the P4 classification?

The P4 classification for liquid waterproofing systems applies to high-performance continuous membranes designed for roofs or terraces subject to the highest level of pedestrian traffic.

This classification is determined according to EAD 030350-00-0402 (Liquid-applied roof or terrace waterproofing systems), a European Assessment Document that establishes the technical criteria for evaluating liquid-applied roof waterproofing systems. It is used for the CE marking of resin-based systems, such as polyurethane or acrylic systems.

Liquid systems create a continuous, flexible, and elastic membrane that adapts to the shape of the surface on which it is applied, without joints or seams.


Highest classification (P4) for our polymeric membranes PX-03 ACRILASTIC Terraces (acrylic resin-based) and PX-34 ACRILASTIC PUR Terraces (based on acrylic and polyurethane resins).

We recommend the use of our CX-60 COLBAIX UNIVERFLEX with European standard C2TES1 or if you require a product with more flexibility, you can also use our product with European standard C2TES2 CX-75 COLBAIX FLEXICOLLE. Selladur Flex can also be used as a bonding material for tile bonding.
